Rebecca Self-portrait Research

Name- Lee Friedlander
D.O.B- July 14, 1934 Aberdeen, Washington, U.S
Profession- Photographer

He began photographing the American social landscape in 1948.
He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1960.
He studied at the Art Centre college of Design in Pasadena, California.
He moved to New York in 1956. There he started taking images of Jazz bands for there record cover.
Some of his famous photographs were in the September 1985 Playboy. They were black and white images of Madonna from the late 1970s. She was nude and I'm guessing young at the time. She was also a student at that time and she was only paid $25 for her set. NOW!! One of the images are worth over $30,000 at a art house auction. WHAT!!..
In later years he began to get more and more popular. In 1973 his work was honoured in France and in 1990 he was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.
In 2005 nearly 400 of his 1950s and his latest photos were shown at a Museum of modern art in san francisco.
He has two children

So for the Fore, Mid and back-ground images as you can see me and my group used the cone you see as our main subject moving it from the front of the camera, to the middle and then of coarse to the back. FOCUS ON THE CONE!! I liked this day as well.

For the vantage point images we took the first photo on the ground aiming the camera up at the bro and the second image above the bro and the last image was just a profile images taken of the bro. That was a good day for everyone. This task was kinda easier than the first weeks camera task.

These photos were taken all in the same day..

Rebecca' Shutter and Aperture

In these images we were trying out the camera settings. We tested a fast shutter, slow shutter, and our aperture. We were set up into groups of three. We tested lots of ways to find the perfect shutter and aperture but this was the best we could do in the time we got given. Obviously you can tell we need a lot more practice with the cameras. But thats all good. Me, Michael, and Jo's images.

Art to me is a solid foundation where you can let your mind go wonders. This is just a solid piece of greenstone.
It looks black but i can assure you it isn't. Mind you some people do call it black jade or dark jade and i can see why. and i bet you can too...

Rebecca' Surface research

When i picture surface research i see stairs that just don't stop. Maybe because research is learning and you never stop learning. Especially nowadays with a lot of changes. Its constant learning. Constantly going up. I suppose its like a roller coaster.

Photos i took in my first week back in Z block. Good day and good week. This is all the wrong ways to photograph. Well not all the ways... SOME ways to ruin images.

The first image is under exposed. Due to its lack of lighting.

The second image is over exposed. Open the lens to much can cause this.
The third image was just playing around with the ISO settings

The fourth image is blurred. Due to moving objects.

And the last image is just WRONG. I was using the Tungsten setting witch turned the image a blueish grey colour.

The first plane was useless. It didn't make any distance. It fell straight to the ground. We noticed that it fell straight down because of the heavy nose on it.

The second plane was alright. It flew further then the first plane. All we done to it was pretty much try and cut the nose off. Which was a bit of a flop. We noticed it flew up. Not straight.

The third plane was much better then the 1st and 2nd. It made the distance i was hoping for. I don't know why... Maybe because if the nose on it.

The last plane was pretty much exactly the same as the third. I didn't notice any difference. The distance was roughly around the same and the nose was exactly the same as the third one.
